Weston, Mass. - Regis College junior goalkeeper Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) has been named this week's Eastern College Athletic Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the New England region, it was announced on Wednesday.

Gagnon started in net during two games this past week for the Pride. During the Wednesday October 29th contest against conference foe Newbury, Gagnon made one save during the 1-0 shutout win. Gagnon continued her hot streak against another conference rival, Southern Vermont on Saturday November 1st. Gagnon made six saves during the 1-0 shutout victory. Gagnon finished the season 10-5-2 and has recorded eight consecutive shutout victories.

Regis finished the season with a 10-5-2, 7-2 NECC mark and will travel tomorrow Thursday, November 6th to Elms College for the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals with kick-off slated for 6:00 p.m.
