WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Tais Salles (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) has been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday morning. Salles helped lead the Pride (8-5-2, 5-2 NECC) to a pair of conference wins last week.

The freshman came off the bench and scored the game-winning-goal in the Pride's 4-0 victory over Wheelock College last Wednesday. Salles took four shots, three of them on goal, in Saturday's conference matchup with Becker, a 1-0 win for the Pride.

Salles currently ranks third on the team in goals (4) and is tied for third in total points (8), while her two game-winning-goals this year are good for second on the team.

Tais Salles and the Regis College women's soccer team return to action on Wednesday night when the Pride host Newbury College at 6:00 p.m.
