BOUVETTE HAT TRICK LEADS PRIDE TO HIGHEST SCORING OUTPUT OF SEASON

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College sophomore defender Hannah Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.) had her best offensive game of her young collegiate career as her hat trick led the Pride to an 8-0 shutout victory over New England Collegiate Conference rival Daniel Webster College at Regis Stadium on Monday afternoon. With the victory, the Pride move to 6-4-2, 3-1 NECC and with the loss the Eagles fall to 1-8-0, 0-4-0 NECC.

Dating back to 2002, Regis is 7-2 against Daniel Webster, including an undefeated 5-0 mark against the Eagles since the Pride joined the NECC. Daniel Webster has now been shutout in three straight games and is currently on an eight game losing streak. During the last five games, the Pride have a 4-0-1 mark.

The combo of junior midfielder Joana Rosa (Roxbury, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Michaela Bouvette (Mattapoisett, Mass.) had a hand in the Pride's first two goals. The first goal was scored after Michaela crossed the ball from the left side of the field into the box for Rosa who was waiting there on the right side. Rosa was right in front of the goalie and chipped the ball past Amanda Dargee (Melbourne, Fla.). The duo hooked up again on a second goal two minutes later. Bouvette once again crossed the ball into the box for a waiting Rosa who put it in the back of the net right off her foot. The two goals increased Rosa's team lead to seven goals and it moved her to fifth in the conference as the Pride advantage grew to 2-0.

Regis kept the pressure on and added another tally a few minutes later. Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) received the ball off a corner kick and cleared it to the top of the box to a waiting Jasmine Vivar (Attleboro, Mass.) Vivar then rifled a shot to the bottom left of the net that was just past Dargee's reach. The goal was Vivar's first of the season and increased the Prides' lead to 3-0 heading into halftime.

The Crimson & Gold added five goals in the second half of play. Olivia Hamill (Sudbury, Mass.) scored her first two goals of the season, the first was assisted by Sam Salamone and the other was unassisted. Hamill's goals were sandwiched in between three tallies by Hannah Bouvette. Bouvette's three goals came within five minutes of each other. Her first came at the 79:47 mark after a Hamill shot was initially saved by Dargee but the rebound came right to Bouvette and she fired it home. Her second goal came off a corner opportunity when Jackie Rocheville (Salem, Mass.) hit it into the box and Bouvette headed it home. The tally that secured the hat trick was unassisted and Bouvette had a clean shot at the top of the box, and put it past the goalie.

Amanda Dargee made a career and season high 25 saves. Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) earned the victory and moved to 6-4-2 on the season.

The Pride continue their conference schedule with an away game against defending conference champion Lesley University at Regis College on Saturday, October 18th with game-time slated for 1:30 p.m. The Eagles head back home and host Wheelock College on the 18th with kick-off set for noon.
