REGIS WOMEN’S SOCCER SELECTED SECOND IN POLLS

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team has been selected to finish second in the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference women's soccer poll announced on Tuesday night. The Pride received one first place vote, and tied with Elms for the No. 2 spot.

The Pride return six All-NECC selections from a year ago headlined by First Team selection senior Kristen Abreu (Woburn, Mass.). Senior classmates Adena Joseph (Stoughton, Mass.), Jackie Rocheville (Salem, Mass.), and Jasmin Vivar (Attleboro, Mass.) were all Second Team selections, while junior Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) was also a Second Team choice. Sam Salamone (Milford, Mass.) was a 2013 Honorable Mention Team member.

Two-time defending NECC Champion Lesley University was the top choice in the coaches poll, receiving the other eight first place votes. After Regis and Elms, Bay Path was selected to finish fourth with Southern Vermont, Becker, Mitchell, Newbury, Daniel Webster, and Wheelock rounding out the poll.
