PRIDE EARN NO. 4 SEED IN NECC CHAMPIONSHIP

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team, winners of their last four games, have earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship. The Pride (9-6-2, 6-2-1 NECC) will host fifth seeded Southern Vermont College (6-8-1, 5-4 NECC) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The game will mark the second meeting of the Pride and Mountaineers this season. On Saturday afternoon, Regis handed Southern Vermont a 2-0 win off of goals from juniors Jasmin Vivar (Attleboro, Mass.) and Jackie Rocheville (Salem, Mass.).

The Pride, who have outscored their opponents by a 14-0 margin over the last four games, will be looking to return to the NECC Championship. Regis fell to Lesley University in the title match last season after conceding a goal with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.

The winner of the Regis and Southern Vermont contest will travel to take on No. 1 seeded Lesley (16-1-1, 9-0 NECC) on Thursday. The Lynx defeated the Pride, 1-0 in overtime earlier this season.
