WESTON, Mass. – Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) has been named NECC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after standout games against Eastern Nazarene and Elms College.

Gagnon picked up her fourth shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw with Eastern Nazarene on Tuesday night at Regis Stadium after registering ten saves in the game. The visitors had several scoring opportunities throughout the match, but Gagnon was able to get a handle on every shot and keep the Lions off the scoreboard.

The Pride opened up NECC conference play against Elms on Saturday, tying the game 1-1. Gagnon recorded nine saves on the day. She finished the week with a .950 save percentage and has only allowed two goals in six games on the season.

The Pride return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 as the team travels to Bay Path for a 2:00 p.m. conference matchup with the Wildcats.
