PRIDE EARN #8 SEED IN ECAC TOURNAMENT

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's soccer team has earned the #8 seed in the upcoming ECAC Women's Soccer Tournament and will travel to top-seeded University of St. Joseph Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon for a 12:00 p.m. game.

NECC Coach of the Year Liz Conant helped guide the Pride to a program-record 11 wins in 2012. The Pride (11-3-3) have qualified for their first ECAC Tournament appearance after earning the No. 2 seed in the NECC Tournament just last week. After wins in the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, the first two postseason wins in program history, the Pride fell to top-seeded Lesley University, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The Blue Jays (14-2-2) were the regular-season champion in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for the first time and reached the league tournament semifinals for the fifth consecutive season. The Blue Jays have equaled a single-season school record with 14 wins.

In other opening round action, the second seed Keene State (12-9-1) will face No. 7 Albertus Magnus College (11-6-2) at 6:00 p.m. at Keene State.
