JOSEPH’S TALLY DIFFERENCE IN PRIDE WIN

WATERVILLE, MaineAdena Joseph's (Stoughton, Mass.) goal in the 64th minute of action proved to be the difference as Regis College defeated Thomas College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon in Waterville, Maine. The Pride improves to 1-0 on the year, while Thomas falls to 0-1.

Joseph's goal came on a cross down the middle from classmate Jasmin Vivar (Attleboro, Mass.), who found Joseph in the box to pick up the assist.

Facing a 1-0 deficit, the Terriers poured on the pressure in the second half getting many shots off, but Regis netminder Rachel Gagnon (Ashford, Conn.) was up to the task on each occasion and capped the game with six stops.

Jillian Lambert (Dayton, Maine) posted six shots for the Terriers, while Bronte Howorth (Lincoln, Mass.) had three shot attempts. Kate Thibodeau suffered the setback despite making 14 saves for Thomas.

Regis returns to action tomorrow afternoon with a 1:00 p.m. game against St. Joseph's College of Maine
