WESTON,
Mass.—Junior Collen Pepin (Fairhaven,
Mass./Fairhaven) scored three goals in the first period for
Endicott College (10-2-1, 8-0 TCCC), lifting the Gulls to a 11-0
defeat of its The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Regis
College (3-10-1, 0-7-1 TCCC) Saturday in women’s soccer.
Pepin scored two minutes into the game, then at 6:27 and 9:28.
Pepin also assisted on Sarah Johnson’s goal at 2:04.
Victoria Hunt (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland) and Alexandria Sutter
(Waterbury, Conn./Westover School) each tallied goals for Endicott.
Johnson assisted Sutter’s score from a corner kick at
17:24.
Regis College would hold Endicott from scoring for 8:30 before
freshman Nicole Fournier (Milford, Mass./Milford) posted the
team’s seventh goal, her first, at 25:49. Regis’ Sam
Correia (Berlin, Mass./Hudson) was able to manage a shot against
the Gulls defense, but her attempt was outside the right post.
Endicott had 10 different players contribute shots with 20 shots
total being taken in the first period. The Gulls had 14 shots were
on goal at intermission. Regis College’s keeper, Michella
Yebba (Wakefield, Mass./Lynnfield), had four saves for the
Pride.
Alexandria Dussi (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet) and Katy Hasek
(Burlington, Mass./Burlington) posted Endicott’s eighth and
ninth scores respectively. Hasek assisted on Dussi’s
score.
Correia would replace Yebba as the Pride’s keeper in the
second period. Endicott had six corner kick opportunities; Regis
would not mark a single corner in the first 45:00 minutes of
play.
Chloe Moeller (Ellington, Conn./Ellington) scored Endicott’s
tenth score from freshman Taylor Ocko (Danvers,
Mass./Governor’s Academy). Endicott continued its offensive
attack, but Regis held defensively for 25-minutes in the second
half. The Gulls consistent attack led to Sutter scoring eleventh
goal, and Sutter’s second goal of the game.
Endicott keeper Natalie Wyrsch (Dover, N.H./St. Thomas) had one
save in 90-minutes of play, and earned a shutout on the
season.
