WESTON, Mass.—Wentworth Institute of Technology (3-7-1, 2-4-1 TCCC) earned its second conference win of the season by defeating Regis College (3-8, 0-6 TCCC) 8-0 in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference match-up Saturday. Deborah Leskey (Newton, Mass./Newton) tallied a hat-trick for the Leopards, scoring two goals for Wentworth in the first period at 34:56 and 38:45 respectively. Her third goal came at 54:50. All three goals scored by Leskey were unassisted.

Ashley Cook (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry) scored Wentworth's first goal off a corner kick. Elizabeth Somma (Windham, Maine/Cheverus) and Lauren Vargas (Warren, R.I./St. Mary Academy) each registered goals for Wentworth as well. Somma assisted on the Leopard's goal by Lucy Brown (Plainville, Conn./Plainville) at 49:51.

Each score from Lesky came outside of the 18' line. Her first two scores were against Regis' Bethany Frye (Adams, Mass./Hoosac Valley) who had four saves for Regis College in her 37:00 minutes in net. Wentworth maintained much of the clock with a number of shots against the Pride defense.

As a team, Wentworth had 18 shots at the 70:00 minute mark. Ten of the team's shots were on goal. The Leopard defense allowed just six shots, two on goal, by Regis College in the first period. Freshman Samantha Correia (Berlin, Mass./Hudson) and sophomore Michelle Sirois (Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) tallied the shots on goal.

Senior Megan Rogoff (Uncasville, Conn./Montville) scored her first goal of the game at 71:07 on an assist by Jess Kruger (Belmont, N.H./Belmont). Michelle Lough (East Winthrop, Maine/Winthrop) would relieve Jess Gardner (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) in net for Wentworth. Lough would immediately see action, registering her first save of the period on an attack by Regis' Tess McLean (West Roxbury, Mass./Mount Alvernia).

Wentworth maintained a consistent and powerful offensive attack, an attack that not once let up during the game.  Brittany Boilard (Rochdale, Mass./Leicester) made sure that the Leopards continued its shutout by scoring the teams eighth goal with 9:29 remaining in regulation.

Michela Yebba (Wakefield, Mass./Lynnfield) entered the game for Regis College in net hoping to slow the Leopard attack, but she too would see a furry of shots on goal. Wentworth had 24 shots against the Pride defense and 13 shots on goal.
