CRUSADERS DOMINATE PRIDE, WIN 6-0

Weston, Mass.-Regis College hoped to redeem itself having lost its last conference game, but fellow Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Eastern Nazarene College had no intentions on losing Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders (4-12-1, 2-9-1 TCCC) easily defeated the Regis College (2-16, 1-11 TCCC) 6-0.

Eastern Nazarene opened the game with Jackie Greenwood (Halifax, Mass.) scoring off of an assist from Kara Webber (Marshfield, Mass.) at 17:23.

Webber would also score the Crusaders second goal of the game less than 12 minutes later, and the teams final goal at 83:53. Opening up the second half, Greenwood would again score, sending her shot past Regis keeper Jackie Sullivan (Naples, FL).

Sullivan would face 18 shots on goal for the night. In comparison, Brenna Mereness (Castleton, NY) would only face one shot on goal attempt.

Battling to score throughout much of the first period, Danielle Koers (Attica, NY) would finally score at 60:54. Koers also had two assists for the Crusaders. A competitive match eventually began to slip out of control with Koers picking up a yellow card in the first half, as well as two Regis players.

Marie Kong (Boston, Mass.), one of the carded Regis players, committed her foul within the box, leading to Koers taking the games only penalty kick. Aiming for the near post, she would send her shot wide left.

The Pride prepare for Gordon College Oct. 29. The Crusaders play Colby-Sawyer the same day.
