Regis Drops to Emmanuel, 16-5

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College could not hold on to an early lead, as Emmanuel College defeated the Pride, 16-5, on Tuesday, March 26, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup.

After a successful draw control, Hope Alto (Boston, Mass.) scored the first goal for the Pride on a free position shot just 18 seconds into the match.  However, the Saints responded just 25 seconds later, after Livia Fedele found Rachel Canedy to put the ball in the back of the net, tying the match 1-1. The Saints scored six consecutive goals shortly after to close out the first quarter 7-1.

Emmanuel added to their offensive insurance in the second quarter with goals from Canedy, Abby Brown, Avery Robillard, and Dejaliyah Srimouksavanh. After Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) gained possession through a draw control for the Pride, Regis held possession to lead Madeline Conover (West Newbury, Mass.) to score and finish out the first half trailing by nine.
