WESTON, Mass. – Regis College was unable to control the Drew University offensive attack, as the Rangers raced out to an early lead on their way to a 19-7 victory over the Pride Tuesday evening in a non-conference women's collegiate lacrosse match at Regis Stadium.

Isabella Beane (Marlborough, Mass.) led the Pride with five goals in the match, while Abbie Doheny (Lunenburg, Mass.) and Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) picked up the other Regis goals. Doheny also finished with four ground balls and three draw controls, Marley corralled a team-high five draw controls, and Vanessa Kozinski (Merrimack, N.H.) led the defense with three caused turnovers along with four ground balls.

In a high-scoring first period, Maggie Nealley and Kendall Hartt scored in the span of 57 seconds to put the Rangers on top before Beane's first goal of the match just 33 seconds later cut the Pride deficit in half. Drew rattled off seven unanswered goals, led by Lizzy Barrett with two goals and Emma DiPatri with a goal and two assists, to extend its advantage to eight heading into the second period.

After Drew scored twice in the second period, Beane connected on back-to-back tallies in the final 1:21 of the first half to close the margin back to eight at halftime, 12-4. In the second half, Drew again put together a scoring run, this time with five straight goals spanning the end of the third period and the majority of the fourth period to solidify its fourth victory in as many matches so far this season.

The Rangers received goals from 15 different players, led by a hat trick from Barrett along with four assists for seven total points. Nealley and Ella Champigny collected five draw controls apiece as Drew earned 19 draw controls against 10 draw controls by Regis.

Grace Heffernan (Winchester, Mass.) made nine saves in her first career start as the Pride goalkeeper. Anna Horne started in net for the Rangers and made two saves before Arianna Mendez took over for the second half and was credited with two saves of her own.
