WESTON, Mass. – Malorie Kiehl (Burlington, Mass.) scored a season-high five goals, Kerri Anselmo (Natick, Mass.) added four goals and a game-high five assists and the Regis (Mass.) women's lacrosse team overwhelmed a shorthanded University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) team 19-2 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action Saturday at Regis Stadium.

The win puts the Pride (3-2, 1-1 GNAC) over .500 and gives the program its first-ever GNAC win. The game was USJ's first of the season.

Annmarie Masayda (Watertown, Conn.) and Charlotte Eberhardt (Thomaston, Conn.) each scored for USJ with both goals coming in the first half.

Kiehl and Anselmo did their damage early, accounting for five Regis goals within the first eight minutes of play to put their team up 5-0. The lead swelled to 8-0 before 10 minutes had elapsed as Cheyanne Jones (Randolph Center, Vt.) added a pair of goals and assisted on another before Masayda got USJ on the board with her goal with 19:42 to play in the first half.

With running time in play for the entire second half, the Pride added six goals to complete the scoring. Brooke Ross (Hanover, Mass.) capped the effort with her free position goal with 4:51 to play.

Maresa Malcolm (Barrington, N.J.) picked up the win, playing the first half before being spelled by Brittany McPherson (Lynn, Mass.) at halftime. McPherson kept her scoresheet clean while tallying three saves. Emily Bourassa (Bristol, Conn.) posted 11 saves on 30 shots for the Blue Jays.

The Pride continues conference play next week with a Tuesday, Mar. 27 visit to Norwich. USJ hosts Saint Joseph's (Me.) the same day.
