Pride Downs Daniel Webster to Stay Perfect in NECC

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) women's lacrosse team stayed perfect in New England Collegiate Conference play on Tuesday night with a dominating 21-1 victory over Daniel Webster at Regis Stadium.

With the win, the Pride improves to 8-1 on the season, 2-0 NECC, while the Eagles fall to 0-4, 0-2 NECC.

Twelve different players scored goals for the home team on the evening, led by freshman Brooke Ross (Hanover, Mass.) who tallied a career-high four goals for the team high. Junior Julia Jones (Revere, Mass.) also had a career game, registering her first collegiate hat trick, while also recording two assists, in the win.

Senior defender Emma Dagesse (Rockland, Mass.) had a night to remember for the Pride, as she scored her first collegiate goal late in second half. The goal came with the Pride playing a player up. 

The lone goal for the Eagles came midway through the second half on the 12th goal of the season from Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.). Roulier also recorded all three shots for the the Eagles.

Regis goalkeeper Olivia Maggio (West Windsor, N.J.) picked up her second win of the season after pitching a shutout in the first half. Maresa Malcolm (Barrington, N.J.) made one save in relief in the secord half to seal up the Pride win. Daniel Webster's Diamond Majett (Philadelphia, Pa.) made 10 saves in the losing effort.

The Pride will return to action with a non-conference tilt against Framingham State on Thursday evening on the road. Daniel Webster will host Becker on Saturday in its next contest.
