WESTON, Mass. – After the home doubleheader against Elms College April 30, the seniors on the softball team were recognized for their contributions to the program.
Sarah Fawcett (Londonderry, N.H.) played in 66 games for the Pride, starting 64 of those contests. She was named to the GNAC Softball All-Sportsmanship Team after the 2019 season, when she collected 20 hits, including six doubles, 13 walks, and 15 runs batted in. In a doubleheader at Lasell April 14, 2019, she went 4-for-6 with three doubles and two RBI. This past season, she collected eight hits and 11 walks for the Pride. Defensively, she posted a .993 fielding percentage with 144 total chances in 2022. A three-time Academic All-GNAC honoree, Fawcett graduated in May with her bachelor's degree in nursing. |

Erin Murphy (Bedford, N.H.) played in 75 games for Regis, making 74 starts along the way. She accumulated 45 total hits, including 17 doubles and one triple, scored 19 career runs, and collected 21 RBI. This past season, she led the Pride with 14 runs batted in, was tied for second on the team with 11 runs scored, and was second on the team with nine doubles and 21 total hits. In a doubleheader against Dean April 14, Murphy went 5-for-7 with seven runs batted in. A three-time Academic All-GNAC honoree and recipient of the Crimson and Gold tassel, Murphy graduated in May with her bachelor's degree in nursing. |

Alyssa Ward (Webster, Mass.) appeared in 40 games within the pitching circle for the Pride, including 20 starts. She threw three complete games during the 2019 season and collected 34 strikeouts. She picked up her first career save with a three-inning relief performance against Chatham March 1, 2020. This season, her first victory came in a complete game against Massachusetts Maritime March 30. Alyssa also picked up a victory over Dean April 14. Ward, a three-time Academic All-GNAC selection and recipient of the Crimson and Gold tassel, graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor's degree in sport management. |
The Regis College softball team qualified for the GNAC Tournament for the first time since joining the league after posting a 7-9 league mark, including a victory over eventual tournament champion Johnson & Wales.
