After a stellar collegiate playing career, Marcello Cappuccio has decided to help the Regis men's volleyball program as a volunteer assistant coach.

In 2023, Cappuccio became the first player in the history of the men's volleyball program to receive AVCA All-Region recognition after his selection as GNAC Libero of the Year and First Team All-GNAC. One of the team captains, he became the first player in program history to collect at least 300 digs in a single season, breaking his own school record with 311 digs in 2023. He was named Regis College Outstanding Male Senior Student-Athlete of the Year in April 2023.

Cappuccio moved into second place on the Regis career digs list with 605 digs and into seventh place on the program's matches played list with 72 career matches. A three-time Academic All-GNAC honoree, he received his bachelor's degree in sport management from Regis College in May 2023, plus he pursued minors in athletic coaching and business management. He is now working toward his master's degree and is a graduate intern within the Regis College Center for Student Engagement.
