WESTON, Mass. – Regis College Men's Volleyball bounced back with a dominant 3-set sweep against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe Dean College. The victory moved the Pride to 12-7 overall and 2-4 in GNAC play, while the Bulldogs fell to 2-12 overall and 0-3 in conference action.
Four players for the Pride registered five or more kills, with Adam Bonica (Quincy, Mass.) leading the charge with seven. Santiago Garcia (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) and Younes Suleiman (Brooklyn, N.Y.) also contributed with 10 and 11 assists, respectively, in the victory
How it Happened:
- The Pride jumped out to an early lead in the first set and extended it to 16-8 after a Bulldog error. Dean would pull within four points but Regis finished strong, using six kills to score their final eight points and take the first set 25-16.
- Jalen Watt's (South Hadley, Mass.) five kills highlighted the second set and helped propel the Pride to a dominant 25-11 victory, giving them a 2-0 lead in the match.
- In the third set, the Pride held an eight-point advantage before the Bulldogs cut it to five at 20-15. However, two clutch kills from Francesco Buanne (Castera, Italy) sealed the set 25-19, securing the Pride's victory.

- Tonight's sweep extends the Pride's record to 14-0 against Dean, with 13 of those victories coming via three-set sweeps.

The Pride will be back in action on Saturday, March 15th, when they travel to New York for a tri-match against Nichols College and Bard College. The matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
