WESTON, Mass. - Regis College was defeated in three sets by Wentworth (25-22, 25-19, 25-16) Thursday night in a non-conference men's collegiate volleyball match at Higgins Court.

Joseph Perez (Miami, Fla.) led the Pride with eight kills and nine digs. Francesco Buanne (Caserta, Italy) added six kills on a .444 kill percentage while John Nangle (Lowell, Mass.) finished with five kills. Tyrell Bucasas (Waialua, Hawaii) dished out 22 assists and seven digs while Marcello Cappuccio (Scotch Plains, N.J.) contributed to the defense with eight digs.

Regis went on a 7-2 scoring run to start off the first set, led by two kills and a service ace by Nangle, and a kill by Chris Huynh (Methuen, Mass.). From there, the Leopards fought back, tying the set at 16-16 on a kill by Sam Etter. A service ace by Tyler Jack gave Wentworth an 18-17 lead and the visitors closed out the set with a kill by Hunter Oshman.

Back-to-back service errors occurred to start off the second set before the Pride marched out to an early 9-5 lead off of kills by Perez and Buanne. Wentworth would once again come back to take the lead off an attack error to put the Leopards up 13-12. A service error by the Pride closed out set two in favor of Wentworth.

After a kill by Nangle to start off set three, three straight kills by Wentworth gave the visitors a 3-1 set lead that they would never give up as they managed to keep the Pride at bay for the remainder of the set to finish the sweep against Regis.

Oshman led Wentworth with 16 kills while adding seven digs. Etter finished with 10 kills while Jack led the Leopards defensively with nine digs.
