Two kills from Nangle early in the second set allowed the Pride to grab the early advantage, and Regis would later rattle off an 11-3 scoring run to extend its lead to 17-7. The teams basically traded points the rest of the set, with Buanne and Donovan Ross (Southbridge, Mass.) combining on a block to help the Pride close out the second set and take a 2-0 match lead.

Nangle collected two blocks early in the third set as Regis opened a 7-2 advantage, but kills from Elijah Tortorici and Alex Bergman helped the Gators stay within striking distance.
