Pride Sweeps Lesley to Cap Regular Season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Regis (Mass.) men's volleyball team closed out the 2017 regular season in style on Sunday morning, sweeping Lesley in New England Collegiate Conference action. Pride senior outside hitter Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) was nearly perfect from the floor notching 14 kills on 16 attempts for a staggering .875 attack percentage to lead Regis to their 15th victory of the season.

Hitting .682 as a team in the first set, the Pride took the 1-0 match lead winning the first set, 25-8. Junior right-side hitter Jeff Ramos (Pawtucket, R.I.) led the way notching seven kills on eight attempts with just one miscue. Bisnett was perfect going four-for-four from the floor while junior middle blocker Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) also chipped in with four kills.

Bisnett remained red-hot offensively leading the Pride with six kills on seven attempts en route to a 25-7 victory in the second set to take the two-match advantage. Senior outside hitter Manny Santiago (Bristol, Conn.) was a perfect two-for-two with a block assist while fellow senior setter Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) paced the offensive with nine assists.

The Pride did not look back posting an incredible .737 attack percentage as a team tallying 14 kills on 19 attempts with zero errors to take the final set, 25-5. Bisnett was nearly perfect tallying four kills on five attempts while Santiago and Krahl followed up notching three kills apiece.

Lynx senior middle hitter Jacob DiDomenico (North Providence, R.I.) led the way for the Lynx tallying five kills while fellow senior Jason Hulteen (Galena, Ohio) hit .300 notching three kills on 10 attempts. Junior Karuna Chiemruom (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore John Gersbeck (Westerly, R.I.) paced the Lynx offense with four and three assists, respectively.

Lesley closes out the season at 1-22 and 0-12 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action while Regis improves to 15-13 and 10-2 in the NECC. The Lynx will look ahead to 2018 while the Pride awaits to see who they will play in the NECC Championship Tournament.
