SINDONI NETS THIRD NECC WEEKLY HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – For the third time this season, freshman utility Zach Sindoni (Haverhill, Mass.) of the Regis College men's volleyball team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced on Monday morning. Sindoni helped pace the Pride offense in a 3-1 setback to Newbury on Wednesday.

Sindoni had 12 kills (3.00 k/s) and a .194 hitting percentage in the game against the Nighthawks. He also had one assist, one service ace, nine digs, one block assist, and accounted for 13.5 of the Pride's points. Through 12 NECC matches this season, Sindoni ranks sixth in the conference with 125 kills, fourth in service aces with 18, and eighth in digs with 90.

Sindoni and the rest of the Pride (12-10, 6-6 NECC) will be making the program's first postseason appearance this Friday, April 11 when they take on host and top seeded Endicott College in the NECC Semifinals. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m., with the winner advancing to Saturday's NECC Championship at 4 p.m.
