BISNETT NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference's Rookie of the Week for the second-straight week, and fourth time this season, on Monday morning. Bisnett helped lead the Pride (7-7) to a 1-2 mark in games last week.

Sean Bisnett posted 35 kills and had 29 digs in the three matches. Bisnett had 13 kills, three aces, and nine digs in a 3-0 setback to Daniel Webster to start the week. In a tri-match on Saturday, the freshman had a career-high 20 kills, four aces, 13 digs, and a pair of blocks in a 3-1 win over Anna Maria. Bisnett added a pair of kills and seven digs in a 3-0 loss to Lasell to round out the week.

The freshman currently ranks third in the NECC in kills per set (3.17), fourth in kills (149), sixth in hitting percentage (.268), sixth in aces (13), and seventh in both digs (92) and digs per set (1.96).

Bisnett and the Pride return to action on March 12 when Regis travels to Southern Vermont College for an NECC matchup against the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m.
