SINDONI GRABS SECOND NECC WEEKLY HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Zach Sindoni (Haverhill, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in men's volleyball this week, it was announced on Monday morning. This marks the second time this season Sindoni has earned the weekly award.

Sindoni helped lead the Pride to a 1-1 mark in a pair of games last week. Sindoni had seven kills, four digs, and a block in a 3-0 setback to Endicott. He followed that up with a match-high 14 kills to go with six assists, two aces, three digs, and a pair of blocks in a 3-0 win over Anna Maria College on Friday night. Sindoni averaged 3.5 kills and 1.17 digs per set this week posting a .325 hitting percentage.

The rookie is currently second on the Pride in kills with 72 as well as second on the team in assists (126) and digs (45). He leads the Pride with 22 aces on the year and his 16 total blocks places him second on Regis.

Sindoni and the Pride return to action on Thursday night when Regis hosts the Wentworth Institute of Technology in a 7:00 p.m. match.
