PRIDE DROP ROAD CONTEST TO ENDICOTT, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College showed just why they lead the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's volleyball standings, posting a 3-0 win over Regis College (25-11, 25-9, 25-11) on Thursday evening.

The Pride, who fall to 2-13 overall, 2-9 NECC, were led by middle Joe Coye (Plaistow, N.H.), who led all players with nine kills on 17 swings with just one error for a .471 hitting percentage. Coye also recorded four digs in the match. Pride setter Angel Aguilar (Silver Springs, Md.) totaled 16 assists in the loss.

The Gulls improved to 19-8 overall and 11-0 in NECC matches after completing their season sweep over the Pride behind a .517 hitting percentage and standout errorless attacking efforts by middles Alex Wasik (Milford, Mass.) and Mike Coniglione (Glenville, N.Y.). Wasik struck eight kills, with three block assists defensively, and Coniglione added six more to lead the Endicott attack.

Junior setter Carter Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) dished out 25 assists to 12 different Endicott hitters who recorded kills. Junior Josh Anderson (La Canada, Calif.) tied Regis' Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass.) for a match-high six digs with Gulls libero Kristian Catalan (Sudbury, Mass.) and freshman Chandler Tayek (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) each contributing with four digs apiece. Tayek also added two kills on the attack.

The Pride will be back in action tomorrow as they begin the MIT Scramble against host MIT and Elmira at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively.
