PRIDE FALL TO BLAZERS HOME MATCH

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men's volleyball team was defeated by Elms College Thursday (Jan. 27) by the score of 3-0.  The Pride move to 0-4 on the season and are 0-2 in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association. The visiting Blazers move to 2-5 on the season and are 2-2 in NECVA play.

The Pride was led by junior Andrew Carroll (Natick, Mass./Natick ) who had a team high in assists with nine and tallied three digs.  Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) helped the Pride out with three kills and four digs in the game. Si Pan Leong (East Boston, Mass.) tallied two kills and four digs for the Pride.

The Blazers were led by Wilfrido Fermin (Bronx, N.Y.) who tallied a team high of six kills and three digs.  Kevin Welsh (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham) helped out with 14 assists and two digs in the game.

The Prides next match-up is Wednesday (Feb. 9) against Wentworth Institute of Technology.  The Blazers will face Newbury College Saturday (Jan. 29) in their next matchup.
