Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s volleyball team played Southern Vermont College this past weekend. The Pride lost 3-1 to the Mountaineers who improve to 1-1 on the season. The Pride moves to 0-2 overall on the season.

The Pride was led by Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) who tallied a game high of 7 kills and 10 digs.  Junior Andrew Carroll (Natick, Mass./Natick) aided the Pride with 12 assists. Senior James Guaragna (Quincy, Mass./Brighton) helped the Pride out tallying 10 digs on the game. Freshman Drew Wilder (Brockton, Mass./Brocton) chipped in with two serve aces.

The Mountaineers were led by Anthony Barahona (Eagle Rock, Ca./Cal State Northbridge) who registered a team high 18 kills and tallied 3 service aces. Anthony Ayala (Pico Rivera, Ca./Rio Hondo CC) guided the Mountaineers in assists tallying 18 on the game.

The Prides next matchup is Thursday (Jan. 27) against Elms College with the contest scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
