REGIS COLLEGE HAS TOUGH NIGHT WITH ENDICOTT

WESTON, Mass.—Christopher Tran (Quincy, Mass.) had a team-high three kills for Regis College (0-16, 0-8 NECVA), but Endicott College (20-9, 12-2 NECVA) defeated its New England Collegiate Volleyball Association foe 3-0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-16) Thursday. Joshua Bruno (Andover, Mass./Andover) had a game-high seven kills for Endicott.

The Gulls soared to an early lead in set one, but Regis College would capitalize on an Endicott mistake to score its first point of the set. Andrew Carroll (Natick, Mass.) assisted his teammates as best as he could, but his 10 sets were not enough to keep Regis College in the match.

Josh Anderson (La Canada, Calif./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and Jordan Ingerick (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) finished with Endicott’s second and third highest kill totals with five and four kills for the night.

Junior Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) finished with a game-high 20 sets, and two service aces. As a team, Endicott had 33 kills with 13 errors, on 79 total attacks for an attack percentage of .253.

Kevin Duggan (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) led the Gulls with nine digs; Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) contributed six digs for Endicott.

Drew Wilder (Brockton, Mass.) had a team-high seven kills for Regis College, and tied with Tran with three kills.

Regis College will travel to Emerson (March 19) for its next match, while Endicott College will play Baruch and Emmanuel (March 19) in a tri-match.
