PRIDE PRIMED FOR LEOPARDS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s volleyball team is set to take on Wentworth Institute of Technology Wednesday (Feb. 9) at 6:00 p.m. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 0-4 and is 0-4 in the New England Collegiate Volleyball Association. The Visiting Leopards are 8-5 overall on the season and are 2-2 in NECVA play.

The Pride is led by senior James Guaragna (Quincy, Mass./Brighton ) who leads the Pride in digs with 18 on the season. Freshman Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) will look to contribute on offense leading the team in overall kills, Berdichevsky  has posted 16 on the season. Junior Andrew Carroll (Natick, Mass./Natick) will look to set up the Pride’s offense with his strong assist play. Carroll currently leads the team in assists with a high of 23.

The Leopards are led by freshman Ross Burdett (Needham, Mass./Needham ) who is their main contributor on offense.  Burdett currently ranks number one in kills for the Leopards tallying 134 on the season. Tyler Moriarty (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) will look to set up the Leopard offense, Moriarty is a setting force that has amassed 394 assists on the season.  Dan Mulvey (Halifax, Mass./Silver Lake Regional )will look to secure the defensive front for the Leopards. Mulvey is a defensive leader that has recorded 12 blocks on the season.

The Pride will host the Leopards at Higgins Court with the game time set for 6:00 p.m.
