MEN'S VOLLEYBALL CONCLUDES INAUGURAL SEASON

Weston, Mass.—Regis College (5-23) concluded its inaugural men’s volleyball season Friday with a 3-0 (30-12, 30-17, 30-14) to nationally ranked Newbury College.

The Pride has battled all season, earning three wins versus Albertus Magnus this season, and two others in invitational play against Medgar Evers and St. Joseph’s of Brooklyn respectively.

Regis went four games versus St. Joe’s of Brooklyn. Saturday, Regis was led offensively by Kevin Prescilla (Lexington, Mass.). Freshman Thomas Paoletta (Plastow, N.H.) had the teams best hitting percentage, connecting on two attempts. Alan Wong (East Boston, Mass.) had Regis’ only block of the day.

The Pride earned its first win in program history February 9, 2010 against Albert Magnus. Regis defeated Albertus 3-2 (30-19, 30-21, 21-30, 15-30, 15-11).
