Alex Wong enters his second year as the head coach of the Regis College men's and women's tennis teams.

The Regis women's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the 2021 GNAC Tournament and finished with 10 victories during the 2021-22 season. Led by GNAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year Andrew Bienvenu, the Pride men's tennis team also qualified for its postseason conference tournament and earned seven wins in 2021-22, including two three-match winning streaks.

Wong came to Regis from Wheaton College, where he was the head men's and women's tennis coach from November 2019 to July 2021. Before Wheaton, Wong served as the assistant women's tennis coach at Brown University, fulfilling recruiting duties along with creating practice plans and coordinating logistics for home and away matches.

For five years, Wong was the head men's tennis coach at Vassar College, coaching numerous All-Liberty League players, including Nick Litsky, the 2014 Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year. The Brewers won 46 matches during Wong's tenure and finished in a tie for first place in the 2014 Liberty League regular season standings with a 5-1 conference record. He also oversaw five consecutive ITA All-Academic Team selections along with several ITA Scholar-Athlete honorees.

Wong spent 10 seasons as the head women's tennis coach at Bentley University as well as eight seasons as the head men's tennis coach. He collected a combined 206 victories with the two programs, including six appearances in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Tournament and two trips to the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament. He was named ITA Men's East Region Coach of the Year in 2010 and ITA Women's East Region Coach of the Year in 2009.

As a student-athlete at Wesleyan University from 1999 to 2003, Wong was the No. 1 player for the Cardinals, earning a top-15 regional ranking during his final three seasons and qualifying for the NCAA. He graduated Wesleyan in 2003 with his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, and then he went on to earn his master's degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Bentley in 2010.

Wong has continued to play tennis at a high level, as he finished 2015 ranked #1 in the United States in 30-and-under singles. He is a multiple recipient of the USTA Gold Ball, Silver Ball, and Bronze Ball. Since May 2010, Wong has been the director of tennis at Woodland Golf Club in Auburndale, managing the junior tennis program as well as teaching clinics, private lessons, and group lessons to players of all ages and levels.
