Tennis Takes Part in Breast Cancer Walk

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) men's and women's tennis teams participated in last Sunday's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Boston. For the third year in a row, the tennis teams made the five-mile walk and raised money from relatives and friends, joining 40,000 walkers and helping to raise over $2 million for Making Strides of Boston.

Every player donated a minimum of $30 and many contributed much more. Head coach John Ciarleglio, matched the total of the players' contributions.  Regis tennis delivered almost $1,800 to this significant cause, an increase of over $400 versus last year.

"We speak to our players about the importance of 'giving back,' recognizing all that they have received in their lives and the need to return something to society," said Ciarleglio.  "I am very proud of our players' response to this cause over the last three years."
