Men's Tennis Sweeps Becker, Remains Perfect In League Play

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's tennis team remained perfect in New England Collegiate Conference play, sweeping Becker College 9-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Regis Tennis Courts. The Pride improve to 8-6 overall and 2-0 in league play while the Hawks fall to 2-1 on the season, all conference matches.

The Pride set the tone for the afternoon with a clean sweep in doubles. The duo of Chris Harrow (North Reading, Mass.) and Luke Horton (Bass Harbor, Maine) took down Daniel Dettinger-Klemm and Throngpol Chinpanjapol at the one flight, and Nick Hildreth (Harvard, Mass.) and Austin Nace (Sarasota, Fla.) beat their three doubles opponent at love with an 8-0 win over Brian Fradsham and Christopher Negus.

In singles play, Harrow topped Dettinger-Klemm for a second time, handing his Hawk opponent a 6-2, 6-2 defeat at the one. Fifth and sixth singles were the most dominant wins of the day for Regis as Cam Charbonneau (Guilford, Conn.) topped Fradsham 6-1, 6-0 and Jeremy Morgenbesser (Bayport, N.Y.) never gave up a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Negus.

Regis returns to action Sunday, April 3rd at Wheelock. Doubles play gets underway at 5:00 p.m.
