SCOTS HAND PRIDE FIRST SETBACK OF 2015

WENHAM, Mass. - The Regis College men's tennis team dropped their first decision of 2015 with a 7-2 setback to Gordon College on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action in Wenham, Mass.

The Fighting Scots took a 2-1 lead following doubles play as the duo of Nick Hildreth (Harvard, Mass.) and Austin Nace (Sarasota, Fla.) picked up the first point of the day for the Pride with an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

As the match moved to singles play, Jarid Polley (North Reading, Mass.) grabbed the second point for Regis, rebounding from an opening set loss to win 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-6. Cam Charbonneau (Guilford, Conn.) suffered a hard fought 7-5, 6-3 setback at No. 5 singles, while Jeremy Morgenbesser (Bayport, N.Y.) won the opening set of his No. 6 singles match, 6-3, before dropping the next two sets, 6-4, 10-8 to Kristopher Marineau.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Monday morning as they host Johnson & Wales University at 9:30 a.m. At the same time, Franklin Pierce University and Eastern Nazarene College will be facing off at the Weston High School courts. The winners of both matches will face-off at Regis at 2:00 p.m., with the other two teams meeting at Weston High at the same time.
