BELUCH NAMED ECAC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College's Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Co-Player of the Week for the Division III New England region, it was announced on Wednesday. This is the second time this season that Beluch has received this honor.

Beluch was named Tournament MVP after leading the Pride to their second-straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship on Sunday. In Regis' regular season finale against Becker, he posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and teamed up with Jarid Polley (Reading, Mass.) for an 8-1 win at first doubles as the Pride took down Becker, 8-1. 

Later in the week in the NECC Semifinals, Beluch once again guided Regis to a win over Becker after posting a 6-0, 6-1 win at top singles while grabbing an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles over the Hawks. 

In the Championship match, the junior scored a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles and won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles in the Pride's 9-0 win over Newbury. Beluch also picked up All-Tournament Singles and Doubles Team recognition for his play, and was recently named the NECC Player of the Year for the third straight season.

The Pride concluded the season with a program best record of 15-5 overall.
