WHITE & COHEN SWEEP NECC WEEKLY AWARDS

WESTON, Mass. – Senior Andy White (Bozeman, Mont.) and freshman Nathan Cohen (Randolph, Mass.) of the Regis College men's tennis team have been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively; it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning. The duo helped the Pride post a 2-1 mark during their team's spring break trip in Tampa, Fla.

White earned a pair of wins in a 9-0 sweep of Susquehanna on Wednesday after getting past his opponent via set scores of 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and 8-0 in third doubles. The senior followed that up with another 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fifth singles and an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles in the Pride's 6-3 victory over Northwestern (Minn.) on Friday.

In similar fashion, Cohen won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles and added an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles in Regis' win over Susquehanna. In Friday's win over the Eagles, the freshman earned another win at No. 3 singles via 6-3, 6-3 set scores and an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

White, Cohen, and the rest of the Pride (2-5) return to action on Monday, March 17 with an away match against Salve Regina, which is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
