BACK-TO-BACK NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS FOR BELUCH

WESTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, Regis College sophomore Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week for men's tennis, it was announced by the conference's offices early Monday morning. Beluch went a perfect 8-0 this past week in his matches at No. 1 singles and doubles as the Pride picked up four victories over NECC opponents.

Beluch and junior Jeff Parrish (Framingham, Mass.) dropped only ten points in four doubles matches on the week at the top doubles position. Beluch continued his brilliant play in singles matches, recording a 6-2, 6-1 win against Mitchell and a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Becker. The reigning NECC Rookie and Player of the Year closed out the week with a pair of straight set wins over Wheelock on Thursday and Saturday.

Beluch and the Pride (6-8 overall, 6-0 NECC) have now won six straight matches and will look to continue their streak when they travel to Mitchell on Thursday afternoon for a 3:00 p.m. match.
