
LUONG & GRAF GARNER GNAC WEEKLY HONORS
Freshman Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.) and junior Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.) of the Regis College men's swimming & diving team have been recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for their record-breaking accomplishments over the weekend.
WESTON, Mass. – Freshman Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.) and junior Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.) of the Regis College men's swimming & diving team have been recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) for their record-breaking accomplishments over the weekend. Luong was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, while Graf has been named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll.
Luong broke Elms' pool records in the 200 Freestyle and 50 Butterfly on Saturday afternoon after putting up times of 1:33.63 and 26.63, respectively. Both times were good for first place finishes. The rookie also won the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:50.22.
Graf broke the Elms' pool record in the 50 Freestyle and was the top finisher in the event with a time of 24.82.
Luong and Graf also teamed up with Mike Panagiotakos (Methuen, Mass.) and Robert Ekberg (Northbridge, Mass.) to claim top honors in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:01.96.
Luong, Graf, and the rest of the Pride will return to the pool this Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host both Bridgewater State and Eastern Conn. State for Senior Day.
