Regis Drops GNAC Match to Cadets, 2-0

WESTON, Mass. – In a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matchup, the Regis College men's soccer team faced a 2-0 defeat by Norwich University Wednesday at Regis Stadium.

Approximately 17 minutes into the first half, the Cadets secured a goal scored by Kam Jorgenson after he received a crossing pass from Jami Lashu. Following this, despite two attempts and a scoring opportunity by Regis, the Cadets maintained control of the game, breaking through the Pride defense for a goal by Nathan Statires on a penalty kick.

During the game, the Pride managed to take three shots in the first half, and then they followed up with five additional shots in the second half. Goalkeeper Ethan Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) had an active game, earning four saves during the match.

The Pride will host another GNAC team in Albertus Magnus College Saturday, Sept. 30, scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. as part of Regis Fest.
