Men’s Soccer Defeated in Non-Conference Matchup

BOSTON, Mass. - Regis College was outpaced by Emerson College, 4-1, in non-conference men's soccer action Monday night at Rotch Field.

After getting fouled by the Emerson defense, Brevin Frankel (Millbury, Mass.) scored his first goal of the year on a free kick to tie the game at one goal apiece in the 31st minute of play.

Emerson scored first in the ninth minute of play when Gabe Rich scored off a pass from Jorah Delbanco to give the home team a 1-0 lead. The Lions scored the game-winner in the second half when Rich found Connor Donovan, who managed to beat the Regis goalkeeper to give Emerson the lead for good.

Rich would earn another assist on Emerson's third goal of the game, this time scored by Chris Moulinos with less than 15 minutes remaining in the second half. Theodore Bushara capped off the scoring for Emerson in the 83rd minute of play, assisted by Skyler Stark Ragsdal.

Ethan Donahue (Methuen, Mass.) started the match in net for the Pride and made six saves before Kyle Weidemann (Piscataway, N.J.) took over for the final 13 minutes. Matthew Mueller was the goalkeeper for Emerson, making two saves for the Lions.
