WESTON, Mass. – Senior midfielder Renato Rosas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) scored the go ahead goal and added an assist during the Regis College men's soccer team second half come from behind victory against non-conference opponent Eastern Nazarene College on Wednesday night. The win, propels the Pride to 5-4-1 on the year and the loss drops the Lions to 6-4-0.

Rosas scored his third goal of the campaign off a designed corner kick play. Sophomore midfielder Amandio Ferreira (Dorchester, Mass.) took the corner chance and instead of lofting the ball in the air, he played it to sophomore forward Brendan Plasczynski (Bristol, Conn.). Plasczynski made a no look pass with his heel to the top of the box to a waiting Rosas who uncorked a one-timer past Lions junior goaltender James MacFarland (Jacksonville, Fla.).

Rosas also assisted on the insurance goal scored by freshman midfielder Derek Triana (Port St. Lucie, Fla.). The senior captain saw his rookie teammate streaking down the center of the pitch and placed a perfect through ball that split the Lion defenders. Triana then found himself in a one-on-one opportunity with MacFarland and buried his shot to increase the Pride advantage. Triana's goal tied Rosas for the team lead with three tallies.

The entire first half was played at a stalemate as each side was exchanging possessions in each other's defensive zone before Eastern Nazarene finally cracked the scoring column with :38 seconds left in the first half. After a corner kick opportunity, the rock was batted around in the air and found the head of sophomore midfielder Andrew Nelson (Burtonsville, Md.). Nelson headed the ball towards the net while Pride junior goaltender Manny Santiago (Bristol, Conn.) played the ball with his hands. Santiago knocked the ball down, however the rock found the foot of freshman midfielder Connor Hudson-Bryant (Weymouth, Mass.) who corralled the rebound and put a shot past Santiago that gave the Lions a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.

Just five minutes into the second stanza, the Pride knotted up the score at one apiece after junior forward Don Gomez (Lynn, Mass.) made a quick pass outside the box to Amandio Ferreira, who rifled a long shot over the goalies head and into the cage.

Regis would pull away after the equalizer and would never look back. Manny Santiago made six saves during his fifth win of the season while MacFarland snagged two shots during the defeat.
