PRIDE ANNOUNCE 2015 MEN’S SOCCER OPPONENTS

WESTON, Mass. – Head coach Renato Capobianco is proud to announce the 2015 schedule for the Regis College men's soccer team. This year's schedule will include 11 non-conference opponents and 10 home contests to be played at Regis Stadium. The program is hoping to build upon their 9-11 record and a New England Collegiate Conference semifinals appearance from a year ago.

The Crimson and Gold begin the new campaign with two consecutive non-conference road games. On Wednesday, September 2nd the squad travels to Emerson for a 6:00 p.m. season opening match against the Lions. Three days later, the Pride ship down to New Haven for a 1:00 p.m. date with the Albertus Magnus Falcons.

After the two away games, the Pride head back to Weston for three straight home matches. On Labor Day, September 7th, the Pride square off against non-conference foe Mount Ida in what will be the home opener for Regis at 1:00 p.m. Two days later, the Crimson and Gold welcome New England College to campus for a 4:00 p.m. showdown while the Pride wrap up their week stay at home on Saturday September 12th against Rhode Island College at 11:00 a.m.

Two of the next three games are on the road as the Pride travels to Anna Maria on Monday, September 14 for a 4:00 p.m. contest with the AMCATS. Regis returns to campus three days later on September 17th when Suffolk heads west to Weston for a 7:00 p.m. match. Regis will then have six days to prepare for their eighth consecutive non-conference tilt against Fitchburg State on Wednesday, September 23rd.

The Pride end their schedule with seven of their last 10 games versus conference opponents with six of their final 10 contests at Regis Stadium.

Regis opens their conference slate when they welcome the Lesley Lynx to campus for PrideFest on Saturday, September 26th at 4:00 p.m. The Crimson and Gold remain at home for a matchup on Wednesday, September 30th versus Eastern Nazarene at 7:30 p.m. wrapping up the month of September.

The Crimson and Gold open the month of October on the road when the team travels to Newbury on October 3rd for a 5:30 p.m. contest with the Nighthawks. The men head back to Weston for two straight home matches, welcoming non-conference cross town rival Lasell to campus on October 7th at 7:30 p.m. and the team returns to NECC action against Daniel Webster three days later at 1:00 p.m.

Three of the Pride's final five matches are away from campus as they travel to Becker (October 12th, 1:00 p.m.), Southern Vermont (October 17th, 3:30 p.m.) and to Chicopee, Mass. for a rematch of last season's NECC Semifinal match with Elms on Halloween at 4:30 p.m.

Sandwiched in between their away matches the Pride host Mitchell on October 24th at 1:00 p.m. and non-conference foe Wheelock on October 28th at 4:00 p.m.
