WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Amandio Ferreira (Dorchester, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Men's soccer; it was announced on Monday morning.

Ferreira started in two games this week for the Pride. His best game of his young collegiate career came on Saturday, October 16th against conference foe Becker College. Ferreira amassed seven points while scoring a hat trick and adding an assist as well. All three of Ferreira's goals came on free kick opportunities that were set up just outside the top of the box. Ferreira now ranks tied for first on the team in points (8), assists (2) and ranks second in goals (3).

The Pride return to action on Wednesday, October 22nd when they welcome Wheelock College for an NECC tilt with kick-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
