WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Brendan Plasczynski (Bristol, Conn.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in men's soccer; it was announced on Monday morning.

Plasczynski scored his first two career collegiate goals this past week. During the October 8th match up against Lasell College, Dillon Lanctot (Somersworth, N.H.) crossed the ball from the end line to Plasczynski who netted his first career goal at the 73:52 mark in the contest. Plasczynski also netted a goal on a header that was crossed into the box by teammate Amandio Ferreira (Dorchester, Mass.) during the October 11th contest against NECC foe Newbury College.

With the two tallies, Plasczynski ranks second on the team in goals.

The Pride return to action on Saturday, October 18th when they welcome Becker College for an NECC tilt with kick-off slated for 11 a.m.
