REGIS MEN’S SOCCER PICKED SIXTH IN COACHES POLL

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Regis College men's soccer team has been picked to finish sixth, according to the New England Collegiate Conference preseason polls announced this past weekend. The Pride (0-1) are looking to capture their third-straight trip to the NECC postseason in 2014.

In 2013, the Regis men's soccer team earned the No. 4 seed in the NECC Postseason for the second-straight year. Lesley has ended the Pride's season the last two seasons, both with 1-0 victories in the NECC First Round and NECC Semifinals.

Defending NECC Champion Elms earned five first place votes to grab the top spot in the preseason poll. Lesley, Newbury, and Mitchell each grabbed a first place vote as well, finishing second, third, and fourth, respectively.

Daniel Webster was picked to finish fifth, followed by Regis, with Southern Vermont and Becker tied for the final spot in the poll.
