PANDIT NETS NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – For the first time this season, freshman defender Jai Pandit (Parkland, Fla.) of the Regis College men's soccer team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league's offices on Monday morning.

Pandit scored his first career collegiate goal, which proved to be the game-winner, in a 2-0 win over Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Pride earned their fifth straight win, locked up the fourth seed for the upcoming NECC Tournament, and secured home field advantage for the Quarterfinals. Pandit has played in 16 games this season for the Pride, while starting nine of those contests.

Pandit and the rest of the Pride (7-8-2, 4-2-1 NECC) will host Lesley at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 in the NECC First Round, which will be a rematch of one of last year's NECC Semifinals.
