MEN'S SOCCER ANNOUNCES FALL COMMITMENTS FOR 2012

WESTON, Mass.- The Regis College men's soccer team announced fall commitments for the 2012. The Pride welcomes two newcomers to its squad that will look to have an immediate impact under second year head coach Renato Capobianco's guidance.

Kenny Charron comes to Regis from Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, R.I.  Charron was a four year player for the Eagles and was elected captain his junior and senior season. In the fall of 2011, Charron's strong play helped the team to a 10-7-2 season and into the first round of the Rhode Island state playoff tournament. Charron is a member of the FC Rams Premier Soccer Club based out of Kingston, Rhode Island.

"Kenny is a great overall player and his field IQ allows him to be an offensive threat anywhere on the field," Head coach Renato Capobianco said. Charron will be playing midfield/forward for the Pride in the fall 2012.

Renato Rosas comes to Regis from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Rosas was a three year varsity letterman for the Chiefs where he was nominated for the Florida State All-Star team. He was named captain his senior year and was recently nominated to participate in the Florida State All-Star game. Rosas currently plays his club soccer at PureFutbol Academy. Rosas plans to study Forensics while at Regis College. Coach Capobianco stated "Renato's speed and agility make him a full field player that will compliment Regis's style of play." Rosas will be playing midfield for the Pride in the fall.
