TILLMAN TOPS TCCC AND NCAA STATISTICS FOR SAVES

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College men’s soccer team has played strong defensively this 2010-11 season. The Pride’s defense has successfully orchestrated four shutouts on the season with the most recent coming in a 0-0 tie against The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Colby Sawyer College. The Pride as a team rank number one in the TCCC in total team saves with (145) on the season. 

This strong defensive play has been ignited by the superb goaltending of freshman goalkeeper Ryne Tillman (Bedford, Mass. Bridgeton Academy) who is number one in the TCCC for saves (127) and saves per game (9.07). Tillman ranks eleventh in the nation for total saves on the season with an impressive (127) compiled so far. 

The Pride finishes up the season Tuesday (Oct. 26) against Roger Williams University with the game to start at 3:00 pm.
