PRIDE FALL IN GORDON COLLEGE REMATCH

WESTON, Mass.—In a conference match-up opener, Gordon College (2-2, 1-0 TCCC) defeated Regis College (2-3, 0-1 TCCC) 4-0 Saturday. Four different Scots registered goals against Regis keeper Ryne Tillman (Bedford, Mass./Bridgeton Academ

Gordon had 22 shots, with 14 being on goal, and two assists. Blake Berkey, Alex Sosier, Trevor Hinshaw, and Eric Ernst each registered goals for Gordon. Gordon scored two goals in each half. Matt Horth assisted on two goals for Gordon College. Regis managed just four shots, two being on goal against Gordon keeper Ryan Coil.

Regis has lost its last three match-ups this season. In 2009 Regis defeated Gordon 2-1. The Scots will travel to Amherst (Sept. 15) with the hopes of adding to its overall record. Regis will host Newbury (Sept. 14) hoping to regain its winning stride from its first two games of the season.
