JEFFRIE PARRISH NAMED TCCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass.—Freshman Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performances in the first week of games played by Regis College (2-1). The announcement was made via e-mail by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Parrish contributed defensively to hold Rivier to score just one goal in the Pride’s opening week. He further helped the Regis defense by holding Wheelock College to just four shots, and making it only the second time in Regis College men’s soccer history that the Pride has kept a team scoreless in two years.

Regis College will head into its next match versus an undefeated Lesley University (Sept. 8), and hope to give the Lynx its first loss of the season.
